#Tags As The Future of Online Organization?

Is tags the future of our online organization?

Well it seems it is already becoming a reality.  Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Instagram all use tags or 'hashtags' (#) to categorize content.  Of course we can write off tags as simply a fleeting trend, especially when we often see the overuse of tags in such places as Facebook updates!  However, Apple's new operating system (OS X) Mavericks, is already integrating tags, most likely to help speed up workflow and for us to stay more organized.  Business and the entrepreneur can benefit when incorporating these tags, as it makes it easier to have our content categorized for future reference.

I am by no means an A -type personality when it comes to organization, but I have found tags a very useful way to stay organized when creating content for my business.   I am using it to categorize my documents and pictures, so that there easier to access when I need them.

The future of tagging is likely here to stay.  Apple, and other companies such as Google, are already showing signs that they believe it is.  Apple's ICloud may soon incorporate a cross platform tagging system (or at least I hope), so that we can organize our content with tags across all our iDevices.  Check out the video below to see how to use tags with Apple's OS X Mavericks:
